One arrangement covers the guided bus day in Hiroshima, the Miyajima ferry and, on the Osaka and Kyoto option plans, round-trip Shinkansen tickets.
Updated 4 November 2026
The Hiroshima tour from Osaka is sold as a single day with three possible start points: Osaka, Kyoto or Hiroshima itself. On the Osaka and Kyoto option plans the round-trip Shinkansen tickets are part of the price, which is why the stated length stretches from 8 hours to 12. Starting in Hiroshima gives you the short version of the same day; starting at Shin-Osaka or Kyoto Station gives you the long one, and from 17,000 yen it costs far less than the escorted bullet train days from Osaka and Kyoto, which start at 59,900 and 60,500 yen. Rating 4.9 ★ (279 reviews).
About 90 minutes are set aside for Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and admission is included. That is more than the 60 minutes the prefecture's own one-day model course allots, and it is the right call: the permanent exhibition takes time, and the walk through Peace Memorial Park around it covers roughly 122,100 square metres of designed landscape, completed on 1 April 1954 to a plan by three architects including Kenzo Tange. The Atomic Bomb Dome, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on 5 December 1996, stands at the north end of the same axis.
Miyajima comes by ferry, with entry to Itsukushima Shrine included and time of your own on Omotesando shopping street, where oysters, okonomiyaki and momiji manju are the local order. Whether the shrine appears to float and whether the Great Torii can be approached on foot depends entirely on the tide; the Miyajima Tourist Association publishes a daily tide table, and on many days there is no torii-walk window at all. The shrine itself dates its founding to 593, was rebuilt in shinden-zukuri style by Taira no Kiyomori in 1168 and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1996.
Lunch is not included on any of the plans, so you eat where you want at Miyajima or in the city. The bus is air conditioned and the guided commentary is in English, with no other language offered on this tour.
8 to 12 hours, from 17,000 yen, rated 4.9 ★ (279 reviews). English guide, air-conditioned bus, Miyajima ferry and entry to Itsukushima Shrine and the Peace Memorial Museum; round-trip Shinkansen on the Osaka and Kyoto option plans.

Three alternatives start from Osaka or include it as an option, and they differ in how much hand-holding you get. The escorted bullet-train day meets on Hotel Granvia Osaka 1F and runs 13 hours 10 minutes from 59,900 yen, with staff walking you to the Shin-Osaka platform and a national government licensed English guide interpreter for the Hiroshima segment: the choice if you want someone with you from the hotel door. The 11.5-hour train day trip from JPY 15046 takes the opposite approach, since the guide does not join the train and meets guests outside Hiroshima Station at the Shinkansenguchi Hiroba bus berth between stops 8 and 9; it is bilingual in English and Spanish. The fourth listing is the same style of bus day as this page, 8 to 12 hours and rated 4.8 ★ (540 reviews), with Fukuoka added to the list of start points.
